FAQ

+ Who can do indoor cycling?

Anyone 13 years of age and up! The ride is suitable for all levels and is low impact. The amazing thing about indoor cycling is that you can go at your own pace. You will not hold anyone back, and no one will hold you back from making the best of your 45-minute workout. As with any workout, consult a physician before starting. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all riders under 18 must have a parent- or guardian-signed waiver to participate.

+ What should I wear?

Be prepared to sweat! A sporting tee or tank top and form fitting pants or shorts work best. Avoid long, loose-fitting pants, which could get tangled in the bike. We also have plenty of apparel options for purchase at the studio, so not to worry if you left your gear at home!

+ Do I need to bring water?

Hydration is so important during any physical activity. We have a filtered water refill station in the studio. If you forget your water bottle, not to worry! We have reusable Jibe water bottles for your convenience!

+ Do I need to bring a towel?

Let’s face it, cycling can get sweaty! We provide complimentary towels to wipe your brow in the cycling studio and complimentary bath towels for your shower as well!

+ Can I pay in cash?

Jibe is completely cashless! We appreciate your understanding. We do take all major credit cards.

+ What time should I arrive?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the class to set up your bike and get situated. If there is a waitlist, bikes will be released 3 minutes before the start of class unless you give us a call. Riders will not be permitted into the cycling room 5 minutes after the start of the ride.

+ Do I need to bring my own cycling shoes?

Our bikes accommodate SPD and Delta Look clips. If you don’t have cycling shoes, not to worry! We provide rental shoes as a part of your ride! Street shoes will not be permitted in the cycling room.

+ Can I get my ride metrics?

Yes! All of our Stages bikes are equipped with power meters. The power meters sense torque and cadance and will provide you with the most accurate measurements of RPMs, distance, and calories burned. After class you will be sent an email with your results, including your performance over time!

+ What do I do with my stuff?

We have complimentary lockers with keyless locks. Please remember to remove all your items at the end of class. Lockers will be emptied every night, and items will be put in lost and found. If you forget something, let us know and we will set it aside!

+ Do you have showers?

We sure do! We have separate men’s and women’s bathrooms complete with everything you will need to clean up after your workout! We provide bath towels, Apotheke shower products, and blow dryers for your convenience! There is ample space to change and primp before you continue with your day! We also sell Apotheke products if you want to bring the experience home with you!

+ Where can I park?

There is ample street parking surrounding our block, on Free St, Cross St, Spring St, and Center St. There are also two parking garages located conveniently on Free Street. The Midtown parking lot is at 44 Free Street, and is $2 per hour, but bring cash, as they don’t take cards. One City Center parking is across the street which is CC only, and $3 per hour.

+ How do I set up my bike?

The instructor or a member of our staff will be in the cycling room to assist you! They will help you adjust your seat height, seat position, and handlebar height, assuring proper form.

+ Can I bring my cell phone?

Our cycling room is a place to disconnect for 45 minutes. Please leave your cell phones outside the cycling room. If you are waiting on an important call, please leave your phone with the front desk. In addition, all smart watches must be put in airplane mode and on the theater setting. Receiving a call or text not only distracts from your ride but also distracts other riders.

+ What if I need to cancel?

It is free to cancel up to 12 hours before your ride. After 12 hours riders will lose the class, or unlimted members will be charged a $10 late cancel fee.

+ What about snow?

Yup... we live in Maine. Chances are we will have a few storms! We will do our best to hold classes no matter what, but if we feel it is unsafe to travel, we will cancel class. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates. You will not be charged for any cancelled classes.

+ Can I return a class pass?

All sales are final.

+ Do you have corporate packages?

Yes! Please reach out to us at info@jibecyclingstudio.com
